WIFI very slow

Hello- I recently had a power outage, think the breaker in my Laundry room tripped. This made the Ruckus box have one of the lights in yellow not green so my internet tech suggested we reset the Ruckus box by disconnecting the power cord and pluggining back in this worked and both lights turned back on green. The issue I continue to have is the WIFI on ALL devices, Smart TV, Laptop, smart phones etc us still very slow I have never had this issue, my internet provider came in person and also troubleshooted onsite and they state everything on there end is good with the equipment so there should be no reason for the connectivity to be slow. I called the customer support and was advised to post on this community. How can I check my Ruckus box (main box) the one that the router and modem of my internet company is connected to is working properly?

Hello, I'm trying to upload images/pictures but the system is not letting me. Is there an email address I can send them to you? All lights are green "STAT". Should I reset the box pushing the button with a paperclip? IS there a phone # I can call for faster communication?

Effective November’2022, ‘Ruckus Support for Lennar Homes customers will no longer be handled by phone or email. 


We will be exclusively supporting customers via this community forum support model.
 

If there was a blackout or power outage and the switch reboot because of that, most possible your switch starts running the wrong code which we call ‘routing code’ this is a known issue.

An identifier of this problem is that it comes out as Switch-Router in the unleashed dashboard.

There we are going to see 2 important things the

MAC address: Physical address of the device this never changes

The IP address : is a logical address assigned by your local router to the device (this can change and may not be the same as the one shown on the dashboard)

1- To fix this issue, we must identify the IP address of the switch 'currently'

-We can try the IP address that shows in the dashboard copy and paste it in the URL if that redirects you to the login page for the ICX-7150-C12P that is the correct one if not I will leave you a guide how to perform a IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP.

2-Once we identified the IP address of the switch proceed to access remote to the device 'command Line'

3-Here is a quick guide to understand how to fix the 'routing code issue' but basically you need only need to run the following commands once you are on the command line 'CLI' 

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

copy flash flash secondary 

boot system flash secondary yes 

example: 

ICX7150-24P Router>enable (hit enter to accept the command)
ICX7150-24P Router#copy flash flash secondary (hit enter to accept the command and wait  : until the flash finished )
ICX7150-24P Router#boot system flash secondary yes ( hit enter to accept the command  : the switch will reboot )

Once you are log in the ICX-7150-C12P please follow up the same steps that are on point '3'

You can try pressing the reset button using a paper click or a small stick 

  1. Remove power from the switch.
  2. Press and hold the Reset button while applying power to the switch.
  3. After all the system LEDs flash amber, release the Reset button.

But the issue is due to your switch started running the wrong code "routing code" which happens due to power outage.

 

Based on your description it seems that you have successfully downloaded the application to find the IP address of the switch.

 

Once we identified the IP address of the switch please proceed to access remote to the device 'command Line'

Hello,

Me again, when I clicked on the link it takes me to a "page not found" yes you are correct I was able to download the app for the IP address and  found the IP address infact there is 2 IP address one for "Ruckus-Unleashed. Ian" and the other just for the "Ruckus Wireless (manufacture) both have the IP address starting with 192.168 and so forth. The issue I'm having now is running the command Line. If I could provide you the IP address directly could you run the final step for me?

Please find the below images where you can find the IP address of the switch. If you still face any issues please share the screenshot of the error you are getting.

 

Ruckus devices are going to be detected as Ruckus Wireless / Ruckus Switch / Ruckus Router / unleashed as the shown example:
