Factory Reset AP - Version Not Supported on Setup

willrob
New Contributor

Hello,

I recently purchased a Lennar home and the previous owner had their Ruckus ICX-7150-C12P setup with two APs in the house.
They did not leave the passwords, so I factory reset the master AP and was able to get the new Configure.Me-xxxx to show up.
However, when I try and use the Unleashed application to set up it says “AP Version Not Supported. Please upgrade your AP”

What does this mean and how can I go about fixing it?

Many thanks,

Hello Pinky,

Thank you for the detailed guides, I was able to get a factory reset off the Master AP (the other one I unplugged), and began the new setup process in the Unleashed application. However when I connect to the Configure.Me-xxxx network and press “Start” I see the following error notification? It does not go to the next step of setting up the IP / LAN name etc.

Hello @willrob ,

Thank you for the response.

Could you please confirm if you are trying to upgrade the firmware version through Ruckus Unleashed app?

I would request you to please  upgrade the Unleashed on a Laptop web browser using Mozilla FireFox web browser.

Once you login to the AP through web browser, please upgrade the AP to the recommended version.

Please follow the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article which will help you to upgrade the Ruckus AP to a recommended version 200.15.6.12.304

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/Upgrade-process-of-the-RUCKU...

After upgrading all Access Points, uninstall the current Unleashed application and install the updated version. Please try to login again and check the version.

Please let me know if that works. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Hello Pinky,

Thank you for the guide. I was getting the error on the Unleashed App, and am now attempting to upgrade via Online on my laptop through FireFox. However, the URL provided in the video does not seem to work?

Do I need to be connected to the internet via an AP in order for that admin page to pop up? I am currently connected to the Internet Provider’s router WiFi while I try and sort out setting up the APs for the house, as they are currently not connected to the internet and seem to require firmware upgrade.

Does this mean I will need to upgrade locally / manually with a laptop per the video?
