Unable to see the Switch in the Ruckus portal

I have been having choppy wifi and I fixed it recently using this link and huge thanks to this group !

However, I still don't see the Switch in the ruckus portal (screenshot below), and I am unable to login to the switch portal (i tried all the passwords here). How can I login ? I saw somewhere that it helps to upgrade drivers (or something like that) and I can only do that using the switch portal

Hi @pradeepgogu

Greetings!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

From the case description, I understand that you are not seeing Switch in the Unleashed system.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are committed to assisting you promptly.

Before we can help, we need to check few configurations on the Switch and which version the  Switch is  currently running.

Please follow the below steps and help us with the queries,

1)   To check this, we must identify the ‘current’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch ICX-7150-C12P

I will leave you a guide on how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.

How to find the IP Address of the RUCKUS Devices (Switch and APs) using IP Scanner free applications:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-find-the-IP-Address-o...

2)  Once we identify the IP address of the switch proceed to access remotely to the device “Command Line”

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-access-the-Command-Li...

If you can access the Command line should look like this:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

   enable

   show version

   show flash

   show inline power

   show inline power detail

   show interface brief

   show ip address

   show lldp neighbors detail

Please share the output of the above commands or share the screenshots if stuck at any step or error (if any) and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

I was unable to see the switch IP via my LAN/IP scanner. Luckily, I could find the the switch IP on the AT&T smart home app. here is the output that you have asked for

Hello @pradeepgogu ,

Thank you for the response.

From the response you shared, I noticed that the Unleashed admin portal shows 0 switches.

This may happen when your RUCKUS Switch is on an older version(08080d) which doesn’t let you log into the Unleashed application. We suggest you upgrade your Switch to the recommended version(8095g) to avoid this issue in the future.

Please follow the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article which will help you to upgrade the switch to the recommended version(8095g)

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-upgrade-RUCKUS-ICX-71...

Please follow the process explained in the article and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you ! I cannot access the CL using Putty on my windows laptop. but can access the switch in CL on my MacBook using this nc <IP Address of the device> 23

Can I proceed with the TFTP method and use the switch from the CL

Also, my internet is working fine and I am worried of changing things and going back to slow buffering 🙂 Do you still recommend I do this, given long term benefit or upgrading the switch
