Upgrade of the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P switch to a stable Unified Forwarding Image (UFI) version to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues for Lennar Home users.
Avoid Port Disabling: Some non-UFI firmware versions have been observed to disable switch ports automatically, disrupting network connectivity.
Improve Network Performance: Upgrading to a stable UFI version provides enhanced internet connectivity and overall network performance.
You may choose one of the following options to upgrade the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch:
Option 1: Upgrade via TFTP Server
This method involves upgrading the switch using a TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol) server. A free TFTP application can be used to remotely transfer firmware files from a connected computer to the Switch. This process allows you to upload the new image version directly to the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch over the network. Please refer to the following guide for detailed steps on How to Upgrade a RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch via TFTP
Option 2: Upgrade via USB Flash Drive
This method involves using a USB flash drive to perform the firmware upgrade. First, the necessary upgrade files are copied to the USB drive, which is then connected to the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch. The upgrade is executed through CLI commands on the Switch.
For detailed instructions, please refer to the guide on How to Upgrade a RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch Using a USB Flash Drive
Option 3: Upgrade via Web Interface / Graphical User Interface (GUI)
This method involves upgrading the Switch through its built-in web interface. To begin, open a web browser and enter the Switch’s IP address using either HTTP or HTTPS, for example:
https://0.0.0.0 or http://0.0.0.0 (replace 0.0.0.0 with the actual IP address of your switch).
If the web interface is accessible, you can proceed with the firmware upgrade through the GUI.
Refer to the guide on How to Upgrade the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch Using the Web Interface
Important: If you have access to the CLI, we recommend following Option 1 (TFTP method) for more control and flexibility.

@Imran_ruckus Is 08.0.95g still the recommended version? I see 08.0.95m is currently marked as the stable release at https://support.ruckuswireless.com/software/3749
Hi @ph07
Greetings!!!
Thank you for your query.
Yes, we can upgrade to the 08.0.95m version. However, we suggest 08.0.95g as a stable version for the Lennar ICX Switches. Since higher versions are mainly designed for Enterprise Customers with different features/configs which may not be useful for Lennar home users.
Please feel free to raise a post on the Lennar forum if you have any further queries.
Thank you again.
OR you could answer my question as I cannot access UNLEASHED through any device I have the app on, and have not since 200.14 was installed and the apple issue. I am tired of dealing with all the problems with this switch and want to replace it with a different one.
Imran_ruckus went above and beyond to help upgrade my Ruckus switch for our Lennar home. After attempts to troubleshoot my problems, it lead me to requiring a switch upgrade. I was unable to perform the upgrade myself so Imran patiently performed the upgrade for me. He was a pleasure to work with and I appreciated his working a late shift to help me. It was the best customer service I have experienced in a long time!
