Based on the troubleshooting done, seems that the PoE port is not  responding  this unit should be RMA (return merchandise authorization) in simple words replace it.

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the information you shared.

Please note, both Access Points need to be upgraded to the same version in order to get them connected on a single Unleashed system.

If you are unable to perform the Unleashed Upgrade online, please perform an offline/local upgrade.

And you can Upgrade to version 200.14.6.1.199 which is recently released.

Please refer to the below video showing the process of Local Upgrade.

Hi @needhelp 

 

It seems like your ICX7150 is running 8090j code. The recommended firmware version for ICX 7150 Switch is SPS08095dufi.bin .

 

Please perform an upgrade to the code 08095g UFI and upgrade both partitions with the switching code file named SPS08095gufi.bin,

Hi @needhelp 

Please perform the below commands.

enable 

configure terminal

ip address 10.106.0.10 255.255.0.0

ip default-gateway 10.106.0.1

write memory

exit

After performing the above commands, please share the output of the below command.

enable 

show ip address

ping <ip address of the master AP> (Please use IP address of the Master AP here)

Thank you for the response and the information you shared.

The ‘show who’ command output seems to be normal.

Please remove both the Switches from the Unleashed. 

Once removed, reboot the Switch once by performing the below commands.

enable 

reload

y

And also, please reboot the Access Points as shown in the below screenshot.

Once the Access Points, Switch reboots and comes online please check the Switch status on the unleashed. 

Please share the screenshot of the same.

Hi @needhelp 

Thank you for the response and the information.

Yes, there will be only One Switch that will appear in the Unleashed that is trying to get in sync with the Unleashed system. Since we were trying to add manually maybe there were 2 Switches got listed previously (One trying on its own and the other one we tried to add manually).

At this point, we should factory reset the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch as it is not getting in sync with Unleashed with the other troubleshooting steps we tried.

Please note, there will NOT be any loss of data or configuration. Factory reset will just reset with the default configuration. 

Please perform the below commands to factory reset the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch. (Also please refer to the below screenshot)

enable 

erase system factory-default

y

Once the factory reset is complete, the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch will discover the Access Points connected to it and it gets connected to the Unlashed system.

Please make sure the management approval is enabled (as described in the below link).

Based on the troubleshooting done, and you confirm after performing the reset of the Access Point, checking all the connectivity and connections, the failure persists. This Access Point Unit Should be RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) in simple words replacing it.

Hello, did you guys get this last post? Also, I wanted to remind you that once before, the second AP was labeled as master (after resetting it separately). So at one point, I had two (2) masters, but after restarting the switch and upgrading the master AP to 200.14.6.1.199, this is why the second AP is in this current status.

Please confirm whether you have upgraded both the APs to the same version or not.

 

If yes please try to factory reset the Access points using the below link.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: As you have multiple Access Points (APs) in your house, please make sure you only keep the affected AP ON and reset the same. Please go to the Ruckus Switch (located in the panel) and disconnect from its ports the Ethernet cables of the Working Access Point, except the one that you are going to work with (non-working)

Yes, I was able to upgrade both APs to version 200.14.6.1.199. I'm not able to get both connected to the switch. On the web browser unleashed, it shows the master AP is the only one connected, the internet is disconnected, and the switch is disconnected. Before the upgrade, I was getting two IP addresses, one for each AP; the master is the higher-numbered IP, and the second AP is the lower-numbered IP. Now Im getting one IP address for the master.

 
The switch is a week old. LED PWR and SYST are green.
Master AP: PWR LED is blinking green; CTL LED and 2.4G are green; 5G LED is amber.
Second AP: PWR LED is blinking green; CTL LED is solid green; no other LEDs are working.
 
Just a heads-up: I did a factory reset on the second AP both ways by disconnecting only the master AP from the switch and all cables from the switch except the second AP. Both times, after the setup process was complete, I connected all the cables that were disconnected and connected them back to the switch. The second AP shows the "Configure.Me" and I have to go through the setup process via the Unleashed app. The second AP still goes back to the same status listed above.

Please comfirm if it is SPS08095dufi.bin or SPS08095gufi.bin. Please note that this is a 8 day old switch and it came preinstalled with 8090j code and SPS08095gufi.bin was installed on the previous switch.
