ICX 7150-C12P Software Recovery times out when running the update commands to relaod images

I've got the dreaded "won't-come-back-up-following-a-power-outage" issue, where I've been following the instructions to recover the software via https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-perform-a-Software-re...

All aspects of the connectivity are fine. I am able to set IP addresses, and connect in.

Where this all fails is when running the three "update" commands, i.e. "update_primary", "update_secondary" and "update_uboot"

Although I have successful  PING to my PC, when executing the updates, I see a series of "T" characters gradually spread across the screen, then I get a timeout message, with the suggestion that it is retrying, but immediately returns me to a command prompt.

I'm assuming therefore that the images are therefore corrupted?  Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi @RustyPipes68

Greetings!!!

Thank you for reaching out to the RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issues you are experiencing with your RUCKUS setup.

Based on the information provided, it appears that you are encountering issues with a RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch stuck in boot mode.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are committed to assisting you promptly.

Could you please let me know as the first step, if you tried to perform a physical hard reset using a paper clip by pressing the reset button multiple times? Suggest you to perform it a minimum of 35 to 40 times.

You can refer to the following RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base article for detailed instructions on the hard reset process:
https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/Process-for-performing-a-phy...

If that doesn’t work, please share a picture showing the Software Recovery cable connection between the Switch and the laptop with screenshots of errors.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience.

Thanks Imran, but I have managed to resolve my issue.  I had to mesh knowledge from several of the articles to get a bootable image onto the switch so I could boot it properly so I could enable the UBS Disk0 commands, from where I could then copy over the appropriate images to flash and apply the relevant UFI upgrade.  All good now, thanks.
