Help- moved to lennar pre-owned home

parrillas
New Contributor

moved into a pre owned lennar home. Need help setting this up.

I have ATT and ran a cat-7 wire from the back of the router to port 3 on the rockus switch. The rockus switch has a cat-5 or 6 wire connected to the access point. It connects and works, but its extremely slow. I checked directly on the ATT router and i get a Gig speed, but when connecting on the access point i get about 25Mpbs which is super slow.

Need help, and also if there is a installation guide you can send me. I would like to update the switch and access point as well at some point.

I got it to work and access point firmware has been updated. Im not able to get the switch updated and the internet is very slow. Is there someone that can call me or send me a replacement switch. This is very inconvenient and i already wasted a week dealing with this.

Once you confirm it connection as per the guide, please let me know the answers to the below queries to assist you better.

1. On your switch while it's plugged into the outlet, do you see any lights on? (Amber or green) Please let us know which lights are on. (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same, showing the light status and the FULL Switch panel cable connections to the Switch ports)

2. Is your Internet Connection from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) stable and working? (You could check this by connecting to your local router Wi-Fi or from an ethernet cable from the Router to a laptop/PC).

Hello,

Yes. So, the Access Point has been upgraded to the latest version. The Ruckus switch is running the version below. I have 1 Gig speeds from AT&T, and that is what I get from my laptop when plugged in directly to the router. When I’m using wifi from the AT&T router I get about 500 Mbps, but when I connect to the Ruckus access point I get about 1 to 20 Mbps and half of the time I cannot even pulled a website. My Alexa devices stop playing music, and very poor quality overall.

I don’t know where the problem is, if it’s the access point or the Ruckus switch. I added other pictures to see if we can determine the root cause. Connected to port 2 on the Ruckus switch is the Ruckus Access Point.
