I wanted to increase the wireless capability to the back of the house. At the front I have a r310. But, 20m away and through the house the connection dwindles. So, I ran a 10m ethernet cable to a ZF 7363. It works. However, there are issues I don’t know how to fix, as I’m not that network savvy. These are:
1. The r310 network is called ‘unleashed’. The 7363 network is called ‘ruckus1’ They share the same password but I don’t know how to make it so when I move from the front to back of the house a wireless device (like a phone), switches to the strongest connection.
2. The 7363 flashes between 2.4 and 5. Sometimes it stick on one of the frequencies and then it loses it again. I can’t make it stick on 5G. It mostly wants to stay on 2.4
My config is as in the below diagram.
I could possibly circumvent issues that are both know and unknown by using a r710. I do not have one but do have the chance to buy one cheaply – cheaper than another r310. However, if I had one I don’t know how to make use of it. The 710 has two ethernet ports so I guess I could send one port to the www and the other to the 310 and mesh them somehow?
I would greatly appreciate some assistance please.

HI Richard,
It seem by mistake you posted the diagram here as we are discussing it on another thread

Hi Richard,
Extending the network using a non managed AP (7363 in this case) is not recommended because it will not work as single network and devices will switch between R310 to ZF7363.
Since you have a R710, its better to configure it and connect to same Unleashed network so that R310 + R710 will form a single network with smooth roaming experience.
And bdw, network diagram is missing in your post so if you can add it, then it will help us to suggest best possible configuration/topology.
In general, I suggest to factory reset the R710 and make sure it is on Unleashed version 200.x. Once done, connect it to the same network as R310 (use a Cat 6 cable as both APs support 1G port, and run it toward the second location where you will plug R710).
AP will automatically join the existing Unleashed R310 AP and will also start broadcasting the same network as R310.
For more improvements, I suggest you to plug the R710 in the place of R310, as R710 is much more powerful than R310 and mesh is not supported on R310.

Ok, so I got the diagram which you posted on another thread (I have merged it to this one now).
Topology is unnecessarily complex and not utilizing the network/hardware with its full capacity.
Before any further suggestions, please confirm below details.
