vSZ cannot join cluster

Hi,

I am deploying a vSZ-E cluster in one of my clients and when I try to join the second controller into the cluster on the leading controller I am receiving the following message :

Cannot reach cluster IP <IP ADDRESS> with NTP service!

I don't have access to the client's firewall and the client is responsible for opening all the ports needed by the cluster. He said that all the ports are open between the controllers, but I am sure that this issue with port 123 not being open.

Since I haven't found any documentation regarding this issue, please someone could confirm that the problem is related with firewall port/rules configuration ?

Regards,

Antonio Belloni

Hi Antonio,

From controller CLI, you can try pinging NTP server IP, that is the only thing you can do from controller.

If customer is 100% sure that NTP is allowed on firewall and you still see this problem, please open a case with support and they will help you.
