Hello,
We've recently upgraded our vSZ-H cluster to 6.1.2 (up from 5.2.2) and I'm trying to test a new H550 into the environment. I currently have around 650+ H510's, that work no problem, but I can't get a new out of the box H550 to join. I've scanned the AP into the vSZ, same process as an H510 with no luck. My H550 has an ip address (same ap management vlan as the H510's) and is pingable from the SmartZones.
I've tried 2 different H550's, with different cables and different switches. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Sterlingj,
You will have to configure DHCP option 43 for auto discovery of the controller IP. Please refer to the community post for more information on AP discovery methods: https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Self-Help/How-the-APs-discover-the-IP-address-of-the-...

Hi Kiran,
That worked, setting the scg ip manually brought it online and it got it's config. Shouldn't they do that automatically and come online when scanned in, same as the 510's?
The AP solo fw is
The solo firmware of my 550 is
