Wifi Network Name

Hi, The local cable company disconnected my Ruckus 7150 claiming it was causing problems with my Arris modem/router. Now I need to reset everything. When I name the access points after the factory reset, should I use a different name than my wifi network and if so, once everything is rebooted, what network name should I connect all of my devices to. I don't want to confuse my devices or network

Hi @Chief187 ,

Greetings!!!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

From the case description, I understand that your cable provider removed Ruckus Switch as it was causing issues.

Could you please briefly elaborate the issues you were facing with your RUCKUS Switch?

Also, could you please let us know the answers to the below queries to assist you better?

1) Was there any power outage before you started facing the issue?

2) On your switch while it's plugged into the outlet, do you see any lights on? (Amber or green) Please let us know which lights are on. (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same, showing the light status and the FULL Switch panel cable connections to the Switch ports)

3) May I know how many Access Points are connected to the Switch? Could you please let me know the light status on the Access Points? Any of these lights are on (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same)

Please help us with pictures of your ICX-7150-C12P Switch showing the status of the lights and cable connections to the Switch ports. Also, light the status of Access Points.

Before uploading the photos please log in to the RUCKUS account and you can upload the image.

There WAS an outage before  had to call the internet provider about a slow connection. When I first set up the Ruckus network, I named it the same as my existing Wi-Fi network before adding the Ruckus access points. I have already performed a reset on the switch point and I only have the first floor access point connected. I have NOT done a factory reset on the access point yet. I have two access points and have only connected one in anticipation of the factory reset. The switch is NOT connected to my modem/router at this time. The second green light from the right is solid green and the light on the far right is blinking green8A94CAFE-7F9D-48E4-8D50-18E5AA944E28.jpeg1F99351E-C4D2-4EEE-B430-6F91569DD95F.jpeg
