Unable to see the Switch in the Ruckus portal

I have been having choppy wifi and I fixed it recently using this link and huge thanks to this group !

However, I still don't see the Switch in the ruckus portal (screenshot below), and I am unable to login to the switch portal (i tried all the passwords here). How can I login ? I saw somewhere that it helps to upgrade drivers (or something like that) and I can only do that using the switch portal

Hello @pradeepgogu

Thank you for the response.

I understand that you are unable to access the CLI using the Putty option.

Could you please confirm if you were able to access the GUI of the Switch using Switch IP address through the web browser?

Regarding your concern about internet performance, if your current setup is stable and internet speed is good, it’s understandable to hesitate about changes.

However, upgrading the switch or performing the update usually offers long-term benefits such as improved stability, security, and performance. If the switch is quite old or the firmware outdated, I would still recommend moving forward with the upgrade to avoid future issues.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Yes, I can access switch IP on the web browser and I don't know the password and none of these passwords are working

Hence, I was thinking to access switch on the terminal on my MacBook using this nc <IP Address of the device> 23

Hello @pradeepgogu ,

Thank you for the response.

Since you're unable to access the switch via PuTTY on your Windows laptop, and you're already using the MacBook for CLI access, another good option would be to use the USB method to upgrade the switch.

If you’re able to copy the firmware to a USB drive and access it via the switch’s CLI, the USB upgrade method can serve as a reliable and efficient alternative.

Please follow the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article which will help you to upgrade the switch to the recommended version

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-upgrade-RUCKUS-ICX-71...

From the article, please use the second option (Upgrade using USB).

Please follow the process explained in the article and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
