Stuck on configure me

Howardfam86

We recently received a new modem and router so I reset our ruckus. However, even after “successfully” configuring the new SSID and ruckus it is not connecting to the internet on the dashboard and the WiFi name is still reflecting “configure me” and not the new SSID. Lights are all green.

Hi @Howardfam86

Thank you for the response and the information.

Please connect the Unplugged AP cable as soon as you complete the configuration from Only ONE connected AP from Configure.me-xxxxxx Wi-Fi SSID.

If you have connected

Please factory reset the Access Points once again as described below:

Please follow the below process once again to factory reset your APs to configure them with a new Wi-Fi SSID.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To perform a factory reset correctly on one of the access points, you must disconnect the rest of your other access points from the "ICX-7150-switch". For example, if you have 3 access points, you should go to the switch and disconnect 2 of the cables to turn off the "2 access points" and only leave 1 connected with which we are going to work the factory reset once you configure the access point and make sure all is good, go ahead and reconnect the other Access Points back.

And once again please make sure the Router ethernet cable is connected to any 1 in-12 ports as explained previously.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

I have completed this AGAIN and still doing the same thing. We are going in circles here and meanwhile it has been a week of this and ladders in my house so I can reach the AP’s for all these resets.

Hi @Howardfam86

Please let us know the LED status of the access points using the below guide.

Also please share the image of the switch showing the cable connections of the devices.

I’m sorry but this is very contradictory to me. I have 2 AP’s. One is disconnected from me trying to complete the reset which has yet to be successful. Now you are advising me to connect all AP’s but then the next paragraph you are saying only leave one AP connected. Please confirm, when I complete the reset do I need all AP’s connected or only 1?

Hi @Howardfam86

For performing physical factory reset , you should reset the affected access points by disconnecting the rest of the access points from the "ICX-7150-switch", which means the access points in which you are performing factory reset should be connected to the switch.

Once you are done with the factory reset and finished configuring the access points please reconnect the other access points back.
