Ruckus inconsistent WIFI signal

jeff_schultz

ICX 7150-C12P  SN FEK3838ROVZ

I lost power and after power was restored the WIFI signal comes and goes, mostly gone.....  When there is signal, it is strong.

I've tried rebooting multiple times without an improved consistency.  Based on some of the research in the knowledge base, I've include the version and flash output.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @jeff_schultz

The only command you need to execute is "copy tftp flash 10.176.220.51 SPS.bin primary".

Please check this link:
https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-Upgrade-a-Switch-ICX-...

And please proceed from the section: Continue with the upgrade, using the image

Hi Sofia,

Sorry for my continued problems..... I've taken a screen shot of my results.  And I have two questions.

1. For some reason my tftp command times out.  In the screen shot, you can see where I've displayed the contains of my "upgrade" directory containing the SPS.bin file as well as displaying the show flash verifying the tftp command failed. Thoughts on why I am encountering the timeout?

2. After I successfully execute the first tftp command the next step is to copy a file called, "SPS08095hufi.bin".  In my upgrade directory, you can see a file called, "SPS08095gufi.bin".  I've downloaded 08080f, 08095g and 08095f and can't find the SPS08095hufi.bin file. What version includes the correct file?

Thanks again for your help!  Happy Friday!

Hello @jeff_schultz

I'm unable to view the images. Could you please resend them, preferably in a larger size?

Hi Sofia,

Following are individual screen shots of my environment.  The first one is of my TFTP environment.

The second one is of the output of my terminal commands displaying the login to where I encounter the time out error of the copy tftp command.

Hello @jeff_schultz

Please use the following commands:

ICX7150-12P Router>enable (hit enter to accept the command)
ICX7150-12P Router#copy flash flash secondary (hit enter to accept the command and wait: until the flash finished)
ICX7150-12P Router#boot system flash secondary yes (hit enter to accept the command: the switch will reboot)

Once the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P switch reboots and comes online, should fix the issue.

Then share with me the "show flash"  and "show version" commands again.

Kind regards,

Sofia Gätjens
