Hi @dsmith160

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the detailed information you shared.

Please note SSID will be broadcasted from the Access Points and NOT the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch.

If you want to change your ISP (Internet Service Provider) Router’s SSID, you need to log into your ISP Router’s account to change the same.

When it comes to the RUCKUS R510 Access Point please perform the factory reset process as explained in my previous post, on the ONE Access Point you have. Once you press the reset button on the Access Point you will see configure.me-xxxxxx SSID (Please refer to my previous post and perform a factory reset of the Access Point).

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Imran, it seems you're not understanding what I'm asking. My router use to broadcast SSID = Dallas. I've now changed it to ASUS_98_2G or ASUS_98_5G. Are you stating that the AP (which was not changed only the Switch, save it's SSID as Dallas? If so, why can't I just go into unleashed.ruckuswireless.com/admin/dashboard.jsp, under Wi-Fi and just edit "Dallas" and change it to the SSID that I created for my router to broadcast (NOT MY ISP) to either ASUS_98_2G or ASUS_98_5G? There an edit function in ruckuswireless.com/admin. Why would I need to reset the AP to configure.me-xxxxxx SSID? Can I rename the AP SSID to configure.me-xxxxxx, or ASUS_98_2G, or ASUS_98_5G SSID instead of "Dallas"?

Hi @dsmith160

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the detailed information you shared.

Apologies there was a little confusion, as you mentioned about the configure.me-xxxxxx SSID which will be broadcasted from the AP during the factory reset process.

As I can see from the screenshot you shared, you have an SSID with the name ‘Dallas’ under the Wi-Fi networks in your Unleashed system which is getting broadcasted by the AP. As you can log into the Unleashed system you can just edit the SSID by selecting it and using the ‘Edit’ option. (Please refer to the highlighted screenshot below)

Please check and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Iram, just so there's no confusion. I can use the edit command changing "Dallas" to ASUS_98_2G, or ASUS_98_5G... and a AP reset is not required.... correct?

Hi @dsmith160

Thank you for the response.

Yes, you can edit the SSID and there is no reset of the Access Point required as you can access the Unleashed system.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience.
