I am struggling with poor Wi-Fi network in my home. I recently bought it and it comes with 3 Ruckus APs and one ICX7150. I tried to skim through several blogs but couldn't get any solution.

Please help me configure it.

Thanks a ton,

Jacob.

Hi @JacobKlutch

Thank you for the response and for sharing the requested information.

As you mentioned, your Unleashed Access Points are on an old version 200.7.10.2.339. This is the reason you are unable to log into your Unleashed Application from your smartphone.

We suggest you upgrade your ALL RUCKUS R510 Access Points to version 200.14.6.1.203 which is recently released.

Please refer to the below videos for the Upgrade process:

RUCKUS Unleashed Online and Local Firmware Upgrade Configuration using Browser UI

Please refer to the below video showing the process of Local Upgrade. (If online Upgrade does not work)

Please refer to the below screenshot to download the file for Local Upgrade:

Once you upgrade your ALL Access Points, please uninstall the Unleashed application and install the updated one. And try to log in.

Please check and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Hi @JacobKlutch

Greetings!!!

Thank you for contacting Lennar Home Community.

Hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the detailed information you shared.

As per the case description, I understand that you need assistance as Internet Connectivity via RUCKUS devices in your recently moved Lennar home is very slow.

As per the light status of the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch and the R510 Access Points, they seem to be in a normal status.

As I see from the picture you shared, seems like the ethernet cable which is coming from the ISP’s (Internet Service Provider’s) Router or Modem/Router combo is plugged into the wrong port on the Switch panel. It must be plugged into any 1 in-12 ports as shown in the below screenshot. Please unplug the ethernet cable plug it into the correct port and try to connect to the Internet via Access Points. If required, you can reboot (unplug and plug from the power outlet) your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch and the ISP’s Router once.

Could you please let me know if you can connect to the Internet via the R510 Access Points Wi-Fi network or if you have any issues?

Please confirm and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Hello Imran,

Thanks a lot for rapid response.

I did read it and changed the cable to be inserted in one of the 12 slots. But it is still not working.

Jacob

Hello Imran,
Thanks a lot for rapid response.
I did read it and changed the cable to be inserted in one of the 12 slots. But it is still not working. What I meant by not working is that the I dont get the "configure-me" wifi option and neither can I access it through unleased app.

Regards,
Jacob

Hi @JacobKlutch

Greetings!!!
Thank you for the response and the update.

As per the pictures you shared, the Switch and the Access Points seem in a normal state.

We may now need to factory reset the APs. Please follow the below process to factory reset your APs to configure them with a new Wi-Fi Network/SSID via Access Points.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To perform a factory reset correctly on one of the access points, you must disconnect the rest of your other access points from the "ICX-7150-switch". For example, if you have 3 access points, you should go to the switch and disconnect 2 of the cables to turn off the "2 access points" and only leave 1 connected with which we are going to work the factory reset once you configure the access point and make sure all is good, go ahead and reconnect the other Access Points back.

As you have 3 Access Points in your case, remove the cables of any TWO Access Points, and perform the factory reset on the ONE connected access point. Once you complete it, connect the unplugged Access point cables back to the Switch ports and they will sync up with the configurations from the factory reset Access Point.
