R510 slow speeds after power outage

I checked other threads before posting. None of them are similar to my issue.

We had a brief power outage and after reestablishing connection, our wireless APs are exhibiting signs of significantly slow/unstable transfer speeds. Before the outage, we would have down/up speeds of 500-800. After the power outage, speed tests show down/up speeds as 150 with pings fluctuating between 50ms and 600ms. We power cycled the switch (ICX 7150) but the problem remains.

Bringing devices closer to the APs results in slightly higher transfer speeds (down/up 300/200) but that's still half the speed compared to before the power outage.

Our ICX is correctly booted (SPS partition) but has outdated firmware (08.0.08). It does not appear on our unleashed interface (requires 08.0.09 or higher).

All devices wired directly to the switch are behaving normally (down/up speeds of 850+)

Hi @mulder9707

Greetings of the day,

Thanks for your detailed description,

Based on your description, as you have confirmed that the issue persists while you are connecting to the access points, it looks like your Switch (ICX7150 Switch) may be booting from the secondary partition ( Note: Secondary partition contains the routing code)  which is causing the bad connectivity issues. This could happen after multiple power outages, please follow up the next guide.

1- To fix this issue, we must identify the ‘currently’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch

-We can try the IP address that shows in the dashboard copy and paste it in the URL if that redirects you to the login page for the ICX-7150-C12P that is the correct one if not.

I will leave you a guide how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.

If you can access to the Command line should look like this:

ICX7150-C12 Router>

3-Here is a quick guide to understand how to fix the 'routing code issue' but basically you need only need to run the following commands once you are on the command line 'CLI'

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

copy flash flash secondary

boot system flash secondary yes

example:

ICX7150-24P Router>enable (hit enter to accept the command)
ICX7150-24P Router#copy flash flash secondary (hit enter to accept the command and wait: until the flash finished )
ICX7150-24P Router#boot system flash secondary yes ( hit enter to accept the command  : the switch will reboot )

I followed the procedures as described. I successfully booted the switch from the primary flash. After rebooting the switch, its IP address changed. I am now unable to access the switch via the web browser interface, however I can still successfully communicate with the switch using TELNET.

My APs have not increased in speed. In fact, they are slower now. When testing the AP to AP speed using the ruckus unleashed app, the speeds are approximately 100Mbps. Speed from AP to client is 250 MBps on average.
