Network name not broadcasting

I had a power surge recently and now the network name is not broadcasting. I power cycled twice. I had this issue before and called Ruckus they had me log into the network and we had, I believe, change the mode of the device so it work in router mode I guess. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have my work computer so I cannot download software to my computer. can't I just plug an ethernet cord into the switch and open an command line to get the ip address?

I also downloaded the Fing app to try and find the ip address. switch is not broadcasting a wireless network so Im not able to get the ip address that way either

Hi donnronn

If the R510s don't have any lights on them, your switch may present some PoE issue (power over Ethernet) To solve this you must access the command line of the Switch and do some diagnostics.

Since you weren't able to find the IP address from the Fing app (the IP address is provided by your ISP not from the switch icx7150 or the R510) you have to access the 7150 by console.

Here you can find the steps to follow to access the unit with a console Cable:
How to console in the ICX-7150-C12p

Once you are log in via console the Command line should look like this

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Write the following commands:

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command:

ICX7150-C12 Switch>enable
ICX7150-C12 Switch#show version
ICX7150-C12 Switch#show inline power
ICX7150-C12 Switch#show inline power detail

Copy and paste the results on the chat (here)

Hi donnronn

Seems like you are presetting the routing code issue due the power outage the switch starts running the wrong code

As a solution for now you can connect to your local router via Ethernet or Wi-Fi and you are not going to have connectivity issues from there

I will leave a short Guide about the normal setup for home users:

Where the main (white) box in your cabinet is the switch (ICX 7150-12CP)

And the boxes on the ceiling are the Wireless Access Points

Most common Setups for Lennar homes users https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/Most-common-Setups-for-Lenna...

We have 2 ways to access to the Switch 1- In a logical way via Ip address (Ip address are logical addresses given by the local router) so we would have to track which IP is that of the Switch (that is using).

1-This guide show you how to track the IP address of the Switch

2-This guide show you how to access remotely to your switch

3-Here are the steps how to fix the ‘routing code’ step by step (2 guides)

In simple words write the following commands and hit enter to accept each command:

enable copy flash flash secondary boot system flash secondary yes

Here are the guides more details

The other method to access to the switch is via console (cable access) in this case we need a USB type C to USB standard or Console cable Rj45 to USB.

1-Here is the guide on how to access through the console and pre-install the necessary software

2-Once you are log in you can follow up the Routing code guides to fix the issue that are on the step ‘3’
