Can't Find Ruckus ICX-7150-C12P Switch IP with Advanced IP Scanner Application

Ranger
New Contributor

After an Internet outage, the Access Points for my Ruckus ICX-7150-C12P Switch are not receiving any power.  On the Switch, the status lights are green for SYST and PWR and for all the Ethernet Ports except the Access Points' ethernet ports.

The guide at this URL perfectly describes my issue: NO Power on Access Points and ICX-7150-C12P Switch with GREEN lights on SYST & PWR and PoE disabled

However, I can't get the IP addresses for the Switch nor the Access Points, despite following the guide at: How to find the IP Address of the RUCKUS Devices (Switch and APs) using IP Scanner free applications

When I run the Advanced IP Scanner Application, it doesn't return any results related to "Ruckus" nor "Switch" nor "Unleashed" nor anything similar.  It does return the IP addresses for numerous other devices on the network, but nothing for Ruckus.  I even tried inputting the unidentified IPs into the web browser, but none of them were able to connect to anything.  I have Internet through the Switch via a direct ethernet cable connection (which is how I am connected now), but I can't get the Switch's IP address nor the IP address of any of the powerless Access Points.

Without the IP addresses for the Switch and Access Points, I can't use the PuTTY application to access the CLI (Command Line Interface) to use commands to enable the PoE (Power Over Ethernet) from the Switch to the Access Points.

How do I get the IP addresses or otherwise enable the PoE on the Switch?

Hello @Ranger ,

Greetings!!!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

As per the case description, I understand that your RUCKUS Access points are not receiving power after the power outage.

Also, I understand that the  Switch IP address details are not available or the Switch with Brocade Communications or Ruckus Wireless is not visible under the IP Scan results.

Please follow the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article which will help you to console in the ICX-7150-12CP 'Ruckus Switch

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-console-in-the-ICX-71...

Once you have access to CLI, Please follow the article and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience.
