510 AP wifi reset

aokurley

I just bought a house with a Ruckus 510 AP.  I've tried to reset so that I can re-configure and change the SSID and password from the old owner's name/password to my own.  After re-setting, the power light turned red, flashed green, and eventually became solid green.  However, the CTL light continues to flash green.  With a wired, ethernet cable I can connect, so the switch is working fine.  I cannot connect to unleashed, and I cannot connect to the default IP address of 192.168.1.0 -- I have tried other IP addresses, but they all time out or refuse to connect.  Please help.

Hi @aokurley

Thank you for the response and the information you shared.

Light status of the ICX-7150-C12P seems to be normal.

However, as I see from the picture you shared, seems like the ethernet cable which is coming from the Router or Modem/Router combo is plugged into the wrong port on the Switch panel. It must be plugged into any 1 in-12 ports as shown in the below screenshot. Please unplug the ethernet cable and plug it into the correct port and try again. If required, please reboot your ISP (Internet Service Provider) Router and the ICX-7150-C12P Switch (disconnect and connect the switch from the power outlet).

Please refer to the short guide link below about how to connect the devices as reference:

I have moved the ethernet cable from the router to one of the 12 ports as you have indicated (interestingly, the router being plugged into the C1 port was working fine for the previous owner).

However, the problem remains.  The 510 AP continues to have a solid green light on the PWR indicator and a flashing green light on the CTL indicator.  After re-booting the router and switch I am still able to connect to the internet via a wired ethernet connection from the 510 AP as that continues to work fine, but the "Configure.Me-xxxxxx" wifi does not connect and a browser can not connect to the default IP 192.168.1.0 -- what do I try next?

Hi @aokurley

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response.

If you are seeing Configure.Me-xxxxxx, please factory reset your Access Point. Please follow the below process to factory reset your APs to configure them with a new SSID.

After three factory resets, the CTL light on the 510 AP is now solid green, but the 2.4G and 5G lights remain dark.  The Configure.Me-xxxxxx wifi is visable, but still will not connect to internet.  Please advise what to do next.  Thanks.

Hi @aokurley

Thank you for the update.

Could you please let me know if you performed a factory reset on the Mobile App?
