ICX 7450 40Gig Stacking/Uplinks not possible

Hello Ruckus Pack,

I have four 7450 Switches with two 1Port 40Gig Modules installed in the rear slots.
I want to build a stack with all 4 Switches. But when I stack connect them (via 0.5m QSFP+ passive DAC Cable) some ports of the switches are not coming online. the modules and also the cables are being recognised but the port stays down.
I tried it with the FI08095k firmware - then upgraded to the FI09010h_cd2 version. Same problem. Some ports just don't want to come online.

I tried new cables, new modules, completely flashing the switch, reconfiguring it and so on. Nothing helps.

I now have seen that there are installed two of the RPS15-E PowerSupplys
Do I need the RPS16-E with more power to use 3 Modules?

Does anyone have any idea what I can do?
Thank you 🙂

Hi,

after a long time with the support I got all (4) switches replaced.
With the new switches the problem is gone. Now my stack is working fine.

So for me the problem was the really in the switch not in the modules or cables.

I’ve had the same issue, could not find resolution, so stacked with 10G ports.

Any update or solution here? I have the same issue - for me it is important to stack 40G.
