Even 1000 hosts in same VLAN is a usually a bad idea. Exception is when full client isolation is enabled.

Anyway, exactly to address big number of clients on the same SSID SmartZone supports VLAN pooling -- so multiple VLANs can be attached to the same SSID. This feature is needed in big public venues mostly (stadiums, etc.), and you just use as much VLANs as you need -- 2/4/8/16 etc.

Hope it helps.

Hi Sungjin,

Apologies but I don't think we publish this information.

However I have tried setting up a huge DHCP pool and I get an error (please see screenshot attached), which indicates the maximimum pool size is 1,000 addresses.

I hope that helps!
Darrel.

Thanks.

My client created a DHCP profile and then created DHCP pool
example)
DP-DHCP-Pool1 10.200.0.0/16
DP-DHCP-Pool2 10.202.0.0/16
DP-DHCP-Pool3 10.204.0.0/16
DP-DHCP-Pool4 10.210.0.0/16
DP-DHCP-Pool5 10.212.0.0/16
and add one more subnet 10.214.0.0/16
but popup below

You mean

example)

192.168.0.0/24 : VLAN 2

192.168.1.0/24 : VLAN 3

192.168.2.0/24 : VLAN 4

192.168.3.0/24 : VLAN 5

         .

         .

         .

192.168.15.0/24 : VLAN 17

use VLAN pooling

Each VLAN pool can contain up to 16 VLANs, and a maximum of 64 VLAN pools can be created.

but my client design maximum 300,000 device dhcp

DP-Profile

DP-DHCP-Pool1 10.200.0.0/16 : VLAN 2
DP-DHCP-Pool2 10.202.0.0/16 : VLAN 3
DP-DHCP-Pool3 10.204.0.0/16 : VLAN 4
DP-DHCP-Pool4 10.210.0.0/16 : VALN 5
DP-DHCP-Pool5 10.212.0.0/16 : VLAN 6

ssid 1 : vlan pooling ( vlan 2~6 )

is this right?
