Syslog Message - c.r.w.i.u.SFTPChannel - fail to upload file

Hi All,

I'm trying to get SFTP working with vSmartZone.  I thought I might have fat fingered a setting, but not knowing what that would be, and deleted the VM of vSZ and reload.  I get the same error message on a fresh install.  the message reads:

SFTP connection failed!

I was able to get syslog working and this is what is reported:

Facility: local0
Priority: err
Tag: Web
Message: c.r.w.i.u.SFTPChannel - fail to upload file

and 1 more message from the events tab:

Please let me know how to resolve this problem.

Hi John,

Could you confirm what is the vSZ version?

There is a known issue (documented in KBA https://support.ruckuswireless.com/articles/000009415 ) on 5.1.1 version, which is fixed in 5.1.2

If your vSZ is running on 5.1.1 then please upgrade it to 5.1.2.0.302 and test.

According to the System Info, on the left hand side...version 5.2.0.0.699.


Any other thoughts?

BTW, any help from the knowledge base is not accessible.  The web site is not working.  Just get message stating "We're sorry, but something went wrong. We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly."  That has been there for a few days.

5.2.0 is the latest version.

Could you check and make sure there is no network related issues (port block on firewall, etc.).

If everything looks good, please log a support case for the investigation.

Hi Syamantak ,

The SFTP server is accepting connections from my workstation using Filefilla without any problems.  Do I need to do anything on the the vSZ? Is there a FW on it that needs to be opened?
