Please confirm that SZ104 or SZ124 is in the network if it becomes fails down can affect AP and the entire network or not?
Will the network continue or shut down?

Hello,

It will depend on the WLAN configuration.

If the WLAN is a standard PSK network or is WPA2-Enterprise using the AP for RADIUS proxy, then the network will be unaffected.

If you are utilising tunnelling to the controller - of course this will be affected.

If you have a Captive Portal WLAN, this will not function during a controller outage.

If you are using DPSK this will also be affected by a controller outage.

This is why SmartZone has clustering functionality, to provide resilience and redundancy in case of failure of the controller or the network element that connects it.
