Ruckus T350c on vSZ

Hello, I have doubts about buying new equipment. Since we are using vSZ (HS) on 5.1.2.0.302 firmware can we activate the Ruckus T350c.

Since we can't find anywhere on which firmware version (vSZ) that outdoor works.

Thanks

Anyway, you didn't help us at all. We already knew everything you wrote. For the separate instances we need to buy another controller. For the legacy AP's we don't need advance services. Only to work. But...

thanks anyway

@nenad_nikolic please see @sunny_gupta comment above

in SZ6 you can support a 5.2 zone, but not below.  This could be an option.  Upgrade your controller to 6 and the zones as well to be able to support the new T350 series.

If you have access points that won't work beyond 5.2 you could leave them in a separate zone.  Though I don't believe there are any APs supported in 5.1 and not 5.2 should you should be able to upgrade no problem.

What is your concern to upgrade to 5.2?  i.e. which access points do you believe are unsupported

Hi Nenad,

Product and software both can have their own limitations. But when it comes to AP hardware, it is obvious that very old legacy APs will no longer supported, as we add more and more features and technology support on controller/APs.

By default, RUCKUS SZ solution do supports last 3 major firmware releases (including current version) but going beyond is not possible.

Main reason is, more features added to newer software version needs more processing power (CPU/MEM/DISK) which is not available on legacy APs.
