Consultation on Smartzone hardware issues

cangqingse
Contributor

The smartzone we built uses an HDD hard drive with 30GB of memory
The firmware is 3.6.2
Currently, there are 5 online users and 2 APs
But the memory usage reaches around 90%, is this because the hard drive is not an SSD?
If Smartzone will connect to 50 APs in the later stage, the number of online users will be around 500
Do we need to replace this state with an SSD hard drive to ensure normal operation? What are the impacts if saving the current configuration increases AP and personnel?

Hi cangqingse,

As per your explanation, I believe you have Virtual Smartzone.

The HDD, CPU, Memory has to be allotted according to the requirement. Please refer the below Article to confirm if you have allotted the required resources

Yes, upgrading to an SSD is highly recommended — not directly because of the RAM, but to avoid slowdowns caused by swapping.
