Unable to establish Unleashed Network R510 AP

JMOCANA

I pushed a Lennar home from the original owner, the house is equipped with a R510 AP. Since the connection was unstable (constantly dropping internet) I rebooted. After rebooting the AP, I follow the instructions to create the unleashed network account. I followed all steps, regaining the activity in the AP. However, I have notice two things:

1- The AP power light is green with a slow blink. The control light is a week green. The 2.4G light is solid amber, and the 5.0G changes from amber to green.

2. After creating the unleashed network (in a Mac computer) I have not been able to connect to it. It states that there is no internet connection. I tried connecting with safari, chromo, and Firefox. Can someone help?

Hi @JMOCANA

Greetings of the day,

Based on your description, it seems that your switch runs on the Routing code which is causing the bad connectivity issues. The Switch should run on the Switching code to avoid these issues for Lennar home users. If the Switch boots up on the other partition (Due to a power outage may be) which may be running on a ‘Routing Code’ results in causing this issue.

Note:  if you have access to the Unleashed Dashboard and the Switch can be seen from there, it may look like the following image, ICX7150-C12-Router instead of ICX7150-C12-Switch, now before starting the steps of the guide, I will advise you to cable the computer directly to the Switch, since you will have a better connectivity than if you connect via wireless.

4. After fixing the issue of the Switch booting from the wrong partition, please perform an upgrade to the code 08095g UFI and upgrade both partitions primary and secondary with the switching code file named SPS08095gufi.bin, take into consideration that is the Switch is running a code lower than 08080 you need to upgrade twice, from the code you are to 08080f and then the recommended code 08095g UFI.

I try finding the IP address via lanscan, but it did not show any Ruckus connection. Therefore, I connected my old computer directly to the  switch using an ethernet cable, showing the IP address. I added thee ip address to the URL but it stated that the address is not recognizable.

Hi @JMOCANA

For detailed understanding of the issue please share the screenshot of the error you are getting while adding the IP addresses.

Best regards,

Jayavidhya
