SWITCH STILL WONT CONNECT AFTER SEVERAL BOOT SEQUENCE & RELOADING ATTEMPTS

ICX7150-C12 still boots from partition #2 vs partition #1 AFTER SEVERAL BOOT SEQUENCE & RELOADING ATTEMPTS. Its still showing as a "router" and not a "switch"

I followed these steps in this forum which usually work after every power outage when this happens, but not this time after multiple attempts: https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-Fix-Routing-code-issu...

My ICX7150-C12 still boots from partition #2 vs partition #1 like its supposed to and is reading as a "router" vs a "switch" like its supposed to.

I have the correct IP address and serial number if needed upon request.

PLEASE HELP TO GET MY SWITCH RECONNECTED

I followed these steps...

Can you confirm if my switch is now up to date?

Hello -

Can you confirm that I have upgraded my switch to the best and latest version possible?

I have followed all of your steps and want to make sure that I have upgraded the switch properly so that I can avoid future issues as the switch registers as a "router" vs a switch every few months and I hate it.

Can you also please confirm how and when I'm supposed to upgrade it? How am I supposed to know when a new version is out and when it's time to upgrade it?

Please use the details below to confirm if I am now running the best possible version needed to help with all of the issues I constantly experience:

Hi @ruckussucks

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the update.

Seems like you have upgraded your Switch successfully to the 8095g version on both partitions. Maybe a reboot is required to apply the new version on the current running partition since it is still showing the old version 8090d. (Please refer to the below screenshot)

Please perform the below commands for the reboot of the Switch:

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

reload

Once the reboot is done and the Switch is up, please check the version by performing the command ‘show version’ and share the output of the same to verify the same.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience.

Best regards,

Imran Sanadi

Hello -

FIRST,  HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHEN A NEW VERSION IS OUT AND WHEN ITS TIME TO UPGRADE? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHICH VERSION TO UPGRADE MY SWITCH TO WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY OPTIONS? THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME BECAUSE I WORK FROM HOME AND CAN NOT AFFORD TO CONTINUE HAVING ISSUES WITH MY SWITCH EVERY FEW MONTHS IN THE MIDDLE OF IMPORTANT WORK MEETINGS.

See the output of the reload below and please also confirm that my switch is now up to date.

Hi @ruckussucks

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the information you shared.

Yes, your Switch is now upgraded to the latest stable version SPS08095g. (Please refer to the below screenshot)

For now, you could stay in the upgraded 8095g version which is a stable version for now. However, you could visit the below website link to know the latest stable version when it is released OR you could always contact/raise a query on this Lennar Community Forum, and we will be more than happy to assist you.
