Ruckus switch losing connection to AP’s

Randy

We have been in our home for over 3 years. Recent power outage caused loss of Wi-Fi. Reset ruckus and regain connection for a few hours then loss of Wi-Fi and connection to AP’s. This has been going on for almost a week.

Hi @Randy

  1. According to your description, seems the Switch is booting from the incorrect partition after the power outage causing the connection issues, Please follow up the guide to fix the issue.

Note:  if you have access to the Unleashed Dashboard and the Switch can be seen from there, it may look like the following image, ICX7150-C12-Router instead of ICX7150-C12-Switch, now before starting the steps of the guide, I will advise you to cable the computer directly to the Switch, since you will have a better connectivity than if you connect via wireless.

  1. After fixing the issue of the Switch booting from the wrong partition, please perform an upgrade to the code 08095g UFI and upgrade both partitions primary and secondary with the switching code file named SPS08095gufi.bin, take into consideration that is the Switch is running a code lower than 08080 you need to upgrade twice, from the code you are to 08080f and then the recommended code 08095g UFI.

Thank you for your reply but there is no way for me to be able to do what is shown. Can this router be replaced for a new one or is there a service that can come complete this task at my home?

Hi @Randy

Effective November’2022, ‘Ruckus Support for Lennar Homes customers will no longer be handled by phone or email.
We will be exclusively supporting customers via this community forum support model.

I understand that the steps may be somewhat new, however, we cannot replace the chassis until you confirm that the hardware is damaged.
We have tried to create the guides as non-technical as possible, so that they are not difficult to follow; however, if you continue to have difficulty following the steps,
I would recommend that you seek outside help or a technician.

Why in the world would a company like Ruckus stop supporting their product to a customer just because they own a Lennar home? Did we do something wrong by purchasing our home? Is there that many problems with the product? I am just unclear why they would stop supporting their product. That is not right.
