Our Ruckus is dead!  Power light is on, but the ethernet cord does not light up when connecting to our modem.  After trying to do all sorts of things suggested on this forum, I am still stuck.  Here's what I have tried:

Hi @gte254r

Thank you for your response and the update.

Using a Windows laptop is recommended for the Software Recovery process. You can connect the cables through an external Ethernet adapter (please refer to the screenshots below).

Let me know if you have any questions or need further clarification.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding.

OK, I had to go buy an adapter.  Once I got connected to both USB-C and ethernet, I tried again.  I was able to get through the step C where I was able to test the connection and received an "alive" ping.  However, when I went to Step D "Performing Software Recovery", I got an error after "Loading: *" that the "TFTP server died; starting again".  At which point it goes back to the ICX7150-Boot> prompt.  Next suggestion?

Hi @gte254r

I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for your response and the update.

Could you please check the current light status on the Switch?

If there is no change, kindly provide a screenshot of the error message you are seeing. Additionally, please share a picture of the Software Recovery cable connections between the Switch and your Laptop for further review.

Please let me know if you have any questions in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Hi @gte254r

Thank you for the response and the update.

Apologies, the TFTP part is missing in the guide. We will update it shortly.

Please follow the steps below.

Please download the Upgrade folder and Tftpd64-setup from the mentioned Google Drive link. Install the Tftpd64-setup software and follow the steps below.

1. Now let’s prepare your TFTP server:

Start>type TFTP>Open

A: Select the path with the folder you have created named Upgrade:

Hit browse>download>Upgrade>OK

B: Select the server interfaces as the IP address you configured for your computer:192.168.0.2

Scroll Server interfaces>choose the one you configured statically on your computer

Note: after configuring the TFTP server Application, this one must remain open during all process.

2.  Now that the TFTP application is set up, let’s open Putty/MobaXterm to gain access to the Switch and start the software recovery; however, before opening Putty/MobaXterm, we need to know the COM# your computer has assigned.  You are already on the COM CLI screen in MobaXterm.

3. Now start the command execution from step D)   Performing Software Recovery:

Please follow the steps and let me know how it goes.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
