My ruckus switch wasn't working properly so I performed a reset on it. When it came back up the sys light lit up orange and was the only light to come back on besides the power. Now my access points are all down and my doorbell is not operating. Please advise.

Thank you for the information you shared.

From the case description, I understand that the status lights on the Switch is Amber and the PWR light is Green, which means that the Switch is stuck in a boot mode

Please follow the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article which will help you to fix the issue when the Switch is in boot mode.

Also, the guide for software recovery lists two download links for the TFTP 64 app. Do I need to download both or are there 2 links in case one of them doesn't work? Thank you!

Hello @msalcedo8127 ,

Thank you for the response.

You will have to use both Ethernet cable and Type C cable to perform the software recovery.

Also, I would request you to please use the below link to download TFTP 64 app.

https://bitbucket.org/phjounin/tftpd64/downloads/

Please follow the guide from the article step by step to perform software recovery.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

My question was whether or not my switch needed to be connected to my router in order for me to perform the software recovery?

test

Hello @msalcedo8127 ,

Thank you for the response.

It doesn't matter if the router is connected to the Switch or not as the ports will not work while the Switch is in boot mode.

I would request you to please remove all other cables apart from the Ethernet cable and the C type cable while performing software recovery.

It would help you to remove the Switch from the garage cabin and perform software recovery anywhere else.

Hope this answers your query.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
