Rucks ICX 7150-C12P not working

EricCaballero

My rucks Router just stop working, there was no power outage when it stopped. The Rucks router is connected to a power strip that shares power with other devices that are powered up. I disconnected and reconnected  the power cable on the Rucks devices and its still not showing any lights at the bottom. When I reconnect the power cable I see a orange light flash on for a second and then it turns off.  I have attached pictures showing the bottom sockets with no lights on and other one with other devices powered up.

Hi @EricCaballero

If the Switch is not responding to the factory reset, you need to perform the software recovery process,

Please read the guide carefully before start the steps.

Jayavidhya,

I have tried the step you listed and I am not able to see any of the switch information when I putty into it. It just show's a black screen with no text on it(i have tried type c to usb consul cable and usb to RJ45), I see same results on both connections. Also when I connected the Ethernet connection it never shows that its connected on my laptop. What else can I try.

Thank you.

Hi @EricCaballero

Please follow the below steps to access switch via SSH or Telnet.

1: Type “CMD” from start button and open:

2: Run the Following command: "arp -a", now you can see the IP or internet address of the switch, and the physical address, however you need to know the physical address that can be located on a sticker in the Switch, so you can do the match with the information displayed in the CMD.

3: Now you know the IP or internet address, let's download the free Application that will allow you to gain the remote access.

Visit: https://putty.org/

4: Now open the putty application and enter the information inside the IP field, and choose between SSH or Telnet access, please test both options because the SSH access is not always active by default, but Telnet must work.

SSH:

 Telnet:

5: Access: whichever option you are using, if it asks for a password, enter the following, the enable command allows you to execute more commands to check the switch.

User:  “super”

Password: “sp-admin”

After establishing the connection please follow the below guide to perform software recovery process.

Hello Jayavidhya,

I am not seeing the hardware address or Mac address  that is on the back of the equipment when I run the arp-a command. I also ran a IP scanner to see if it would come up and I am not seeing anything with that Mac address. I tried it on two different computers and not able to see the switch. Can you please let me know what I need to do next. Thank you.

Hi @EricCaballero

Greetings of the day,

Please share the screenshot of the error you are getting while following the steps.

Also if the IP address of switch does not appear on the  IP Scanner please reboot the local Router ( ISP device ) and try again using the below link.
