RUCKUS 7150 Switch with an Amber/Orange light on "SYST" & Green light on "PWR" & NO lights on APs

Hello,

I have already followed the instructions in Article 000015143 and rebooted the ICX approximately 40 times, but the issue still persists.

I have the exact same problem described in the article. I followed all of the recommended troubleshooting steps, including:

  • Restarting the switch

  • Performing the software recovery

  • Rebooting the ICX multiple times

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this further or advise on the next steps?

Thank you!

Hi @dmehta

Greetings!!!

Thank you for sharing the information.

Based on the troubleshooting performed, your ICX-7150-C12P Switch is stuck in boot mode, and a hard reset did not solve the issue;

As a result, this Switch unit appears to be defective and needs to be replaced through the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process.

To initiate the replacement, please use the private chat option to respond so we can proceed further. For your reference, I have included a screenshot below.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Hi@dmehta

What we replaced was the switch. Please ensure that all the connections from the old switch were moved to the replacement unit exactly as they were.

Regarding the recovery, it appears that the APs are not obtaining an IP address. The password for that SSID is the serial number of the access point. Let me add the next Guide for initial setup:

If the issue persists and other devices connected to the same Switch are working fine, please factory reset the APs
