R320 AP Flashing CTL Light

Mjohnson
New Contributor

We had a power outage a week ago and one of two R320 APs works and the other has a flashing green CTL light and solid green power light. When logging into the system, it shows the one AP is disconnected. I have tried 1) rebooting the system, 2) just plugging in the “disconnected” AP to the switch/router, 3) doing a reset on the AP, 4) using a different cable to plug into the switch/router and 5) plugging the “disconnected” AP into the switch/router port that the working AP uses with no luck. My assumption is that the AP has failed but I’m open to suggestions to hopefully correct the issue.

Hello @Mjohnson1 ,

Thank you for the response.

Really apologize for the delay caused.

I would request you to please unplug the Working access point from the Switch port and keep the non-working access point connected to any 1 in-12 ports.

Once, the non-working Access point is connected to the Switch, please perform a factory reset on the non-working access point.

Please follow the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article which will help you to factory reset the AP:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-Factory-Reset-Your-RU...

Once the factory reset is completed, please  plug the working AP back into any 1 in-12 Switch ports.

Please wait for a while, and check the Unleashed system if both the APs are synced and in working condition.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I have tried the factory reset process two times and still have the same results with a flashing CTL light.

Hello @Mjohnson1 ,

Thank you for the response.

May I please know if you have tried the factory reset on the non-working AP after removing the Working access point from the Switch?

Have you tried connecting the working AP and tried connecting to the Unleashed website?

Awaiting your response.

Yes, I unplugged the working A.P. and then tried the factory reset on the non-working A.P. twice with the same result of a solid green power light and flashing green CTL light.  I just tried unplugging both A.P.s, plugging the working A.P. back into the switch, waited for it to boot and then plugging the non-working A.P. back into the switch and again got the same result of a solid green power light and flashing green CTL light.  The non-working A.P. still does not show up in the web interface.

Hello @Mjohnson1 ,

Thank you for your patience on this.

Could you please try to use  the IP Address of the Non-working AP and check if you are able to access the Unleashed dashboard.

Once you see the above dashboard, please try to use the login credentials and check if you are able to access the dashboard.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
