Lennar home Ruckus disconnect

New Contributor

My Ruckus will not stay connected , I re boot and it disconnects in minutes

my internet provider confirmed and stable connection to the home. What else can I do to get this resolved?

Hi @Jnorth54

Based on your description, it looks like your Switch (ICX7150 Switch) may be booting from the secondary partition ( Note: Secondary partition contains the routing code)  which is causing the bad connectivity issues. This could happen after multiple power outages, please follow up the next guide.

Guide#2 for CLI:

Note:  if you have access to the Unleashed Dashboard and the Switch can be seen from there, it may look like the following image, ICX7150-C12-Router instead of ICX7150-C12-Switch, now before starting the steps of the guide, I will advise you to cable the computer directly to the Switch, since you will have a better connectivity than if you connect via wireless.

4. After fixing the issue of the Switch booting from the wrong partition, please perform an upgrade to the code 08095g UFI and upgrade both partitions primary and secondary with the switching code file named SPS08095gufi.bin, take into consideration that is the Switch is running a code lower than 08080 you need to upgrade twice, from the code you are to 08080f and then the recommended code 08095g UFI.

You recommend an app to use to scan for IP addresses, the app requires WIFI, which I don’t have because Ruckus won’t connect. When re booting I get a red power light. After a couple minutes it turns green, then other lights flash green and the system completely powers off. Again, my internet provider confirms signal is stable, but no network available. So I am completely offline, security and SmartHome connection

Hi @Jnorth54

Thank you for the details provided, according to your description, it seems that your Switch (ICX7150 Switch) may be stuck in boot mode, so in order to fix it, you need to get access via console, using two connections one is for console access using the USB to type C cable (the USB will be connected on your computer and the type C on your ICX7150 Switch) now the second connection will be an Ethernet cable from your computer to the out-of-band port on your ICX 7150 Switch) don't worry the next guide explains the port location

ns and there are pictures about it, however I will advise performing a hard factory reset first, let me add the steps.

1:Factory reset:

  1. Remove power from the switch.
  2. Press and hold the Reset button while applying power to the switch.
  3. After all the system LEDs flash amber, release the Reset button.

When all the system LEDs blink green, all the configuration data are erased and the switch is returned to its factory configuration. When all the system LEDs are solid green, the erase process is complete and the system reloads. Once reloaded and the SYST LED is steady green, the factory reset is complete.

2:If the Switch is not responding to the factory reset, you need to perform the software recovery process,

Please read the guide carefully before start the steps.

I went through the reset process, I have internet now and all devices are connected.

I had no power outages, is there a software update I should be doing?

why is there no phone # I can call for resolution?

is there an extended warranty?
