ICX7150 no power to ports

The other day my ICX 7150 stopped supplying power to our wireless access points. We were able to test the ports and Internet is still flowing through, but power is not. We’ve reset the switch using the online troubleshooting advice both by powering it off and holding down the reset button and those options did not correct the situation. Can I get an RMA to return this device under warranty and get a new one?

Hi,

You can log in to the switch via SSH or use a console cable to connect to the switch. Use the commands show poe x/x/x (switch port) and show run to check whether the POE configuration is normal. If both are normal, the switch may be faulty.
You can submit an RMA case at www.support.ruckuswireless.com.

Thank you for the information you shared.

As per the case description, I understand that your RUCKUS setup is not working, and Access Points do not have power.

Could you please let us know the answers to the below queries to assist you better?

1. Was this working before or is it a new installation? If it worked before, was there any power outage before you started facing this issue?

2. On your switch while it's plugged into the outlet, do you see any lights on? (Amber or green) Please let us know which lights are on. (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same, showing the light status and the FULL Switch panel cable connections to the Switch ports)

3. May I know how many Access Points are connected to the Switch? Could you please let me know the light status on the Access Points? Any of these lights are on (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same)

Please help us with pictures of your ICX-7150-C12P Switch showing the status of the lights and cable connections to the Switch ports. Also, light the status of Access Points.

Hello - below are the pictures requested.  Here are the answers to your questions:

  1. This was working before and there was no power surge or outage before the issues started.
  2. I see some green and amber lights on the switch (see below)
  3. I have 3 access points connected and do not see any lights on any of the access points (see below)
