ICX 7150

My ICX 7150 has stopped working. There was no WiFi signal in my house so I checked the ICX and it was dead. I recycled power to it and the status lights cam on momentarily but then extinguished and nothing happened. Would not reboot. Can it be fixed?

Thanks for the instructions. I need some clarification before I do this. You state to disconnect all APs from the switch except the one that is non-working. The instructions state that is preferred to keep the AP that has the CTRL light illuminated connected to the switch. Of my two APs, the one that works has the CTRL light on.  So do I disconnect it during the reset or keep it connected?  And the APs are attached to my ceiling. Do I need to remove the inop one from the ceiling to get the MAC address or will it pop up automatically when I begin the reset process?

thanks.

Hi @rbushore

Thanks for your response,

While performing the physical factory reset, we need to keep the non working AP ( which has CTRL light blinking amber) in connected state as you are going to perform reset in it and disconnect the other AP ( which has all the LEDs in normal state). You don't need to remove the access points for performing the factory reset process. While everything is done please make sure everything is good and reconnect the other Access Points back.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

I attempted to conduct the reset of the AP.  I removed the working AP from the switch and plugged in the non-working one. Funny thing is, the non-working AP now began to work properly (without following the reset procedures you provided) now that the other AP disconnected from the switch.  I then plugged back into the switch the other AP and now that one doesn’t work.  I’ve plugged and unplugged multiple times and it turns out that whichever AP is plugged into the switch first works and the other one will not.  So, do I still do the reset or is there something else I need to do?

Hi @rbushore

We need to check the connections of the devices before proceeding for further troubleshooting steps. So please share the image of the switch an dthe access points showing the LED status and the cable connections.

Here is where you can upload the image/photo :

you can also drag it to the chat
