ICX 7150-C12P switch random reboots

Therealx24

My ICX 7150-C12P switch is currently up but is randomly rebooting itself. I have a single R510 AP connected to the switch. This started happening several days ago; the switch reboots about every 10-20 minutes, stays up for a while, then starts rebooting itself again randomly. The AP has been updated to the latest 200.14 firmware.

I verified my internet connection is functioning normally (had Spectrum tech out to check yesterday).

How do I go about resolving this issue?

Hi @Therealx24

Thank you for the response and the update.

We suggest upgrading your switch to the latest stable version as your Switch is on an older version that is 08080d. (as highlighted in the below screenshot)

Please follow to the below steps explaining the Upgrade process.

The recommended stable versions is 8095g (08.0.95g)

The Upgrade path would be: 08080d (your current version)>>8080f>>8095g

(PLEASE NOTE: Use 08095g patch in place of 8095h as explained in the guide)

Your Upgrade folder should contain these 3 files shown in the below screenshot: (Refer the guide link for more information)

Below are the options or methods to perform the Upgrade on the switch: You could choose any one of these.

1st Option:

1. In this option, we will use a pen drive or USB flash drive in which we move the files to the pen drive and connect it to the Switch then through CLI we execute the commands to upgrade the Switch using the following guide as a reference:

2nd Option:

2. The following guide is an example of an upgrade via TFTP server, by using an application (FREE) to send files or upload remote files to a device, in our case, we will use it to update a new version to the Switch, basically it will send the image version remotely from the computer to the switch.

3rd Option:

3. In this option we Upgrade the Switch from the Web Interface (GUI) of switch.

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-perform-an-Upgrade-vi...

Try to access your switch from a web browser by pasting the below URL in http or https form whichever that works.

https://0.0.0.0 or http://0.0.0.0 (IP address of Switch. 0.0.0.0 is just as an example)

As you can access CLI, I would suggest you follow the 2nd option.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Since performing the update to 08095g I notice the UPDATE light on the front of the switch is now solid green, and the CLD light is blinking green. Is there anything else to do at this point (e.g., reboot the switch)?

Hi @Therealx24

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the update.

Sure, you can reboot the Switch once and check.

And may please know the status of the connectivity and Switch after the upgrading the Switch to 8095g version?

Please check and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

What's the best way to reboot the switch? Is there a physical button to press, or a command via CLI that I can enter?
