Hello RUCKUS Support,
I am seeking assistance with a networking issue in my Lennar Smart Home.
Equipment
* Internet Provider: Xfinity
* Switch: RUCKUS ICX 7150-C12P
* Wireless: Ceiling-mounted RUCKUS access point(s)
Issue
Following a recent thunderstorm and power outage, my home’s Wi-Fi stopped working.
After troubleshooting, I observed the following:
* PWR LED: Solid Green
* SYST LED: Solid Amber
* None of the Ethernet ports appear to show any link/activity LEDs.
* The ceiling-mounted RUCKUS access point has no LED lights, indicating it is not receiving PoE power.
* I have power-cycled the switch multiple times (including leaving it unplugged for several minutes), but the issue remains.
Troubleshooting Performed
* Verified the switch is receiving power.
* Performed multiple power cycles.
* Confirmed the access point is not powering on.
* Checked all Ethernet cable connections.
* The issue started immediately after the thunderstorm and power outage.
Questions
1. Based on these symptoms, does this indicate that the ICX 7150-C12P has likely failed?
2. Are there any additional diagnostic or recovery steps I should try before replacing the switch?
3. Is this a known issue following power outages or electrical surges?
4. Is there a firmware recovery procedure that can be attempted?
5. If the switch has failed, can I replace only the ICX 7150-C12P and continue using my existing RUCKUS access points?
I can provide the switch serial number, additional photos, or any other information needed to assist with the diagnosis.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
