ICX 7150-C12P – No PoE output, need RMA confirmation

jonisradical

I’ve got an ICX 7150-C12P (12-port PoE+ compact switch with 2x1G SFP) that stopped providing PoE to any of my access points. Data connectivity still works fine on all ports, but none of them are delivering power anymore.

The device page on the Ruckus support portal shows it’s under Limited Lifetime Warranty (coverage through Jan 15, 2031), but I don’t have an active support contract. I’ve already verified cables, access points, and firmware — so it looks like a hardware fault.

Can someone from Ruckus (or anyone familiar with the process) confirm if I can still submit an RMA under the Limited Lifetime Warranty without an active support contract? And if so, what’s the correct way to start that request — directly through the portal or by email?

Thanks in advance for the help, trying to get PoE back online ASAP.

Hi @jonisradical

Greetings!

Thank you for your response and for sharing the information.

Based on the picture you provided, the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch lights appear to be in a normal state.

Please try disconnecting the Access Point cable from the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch and reconnect it to any other available 1 in-12 ports on the switch. Then, check if the PoE functionality resumes. (Refer to the screenshot below.)

If the issue persists, it’s likely that the PoE ports are in a disabled state and need to be re-enabled by following troubleshooting steps. You can refer to the RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article below for detailed guidance:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/NO-Power-on-Access-Points-an...

Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

I've done this, but can't post my data here it keeps getting flagged as spam. Nothing is working still, it's saying it's enabled but the error is voltage from the switch. I sent you a message with the data.

It was a firmware issue. I flashed the yew bootloader and lit the newer firmware in and it works correctly

Hi @jonisradical
