Hello.
My switch always stops working after a power outage. I have previously been able to manually reset via direct connect with Putty. That is no longer working. I assume I need to load in new boot/image files but I have not been able to successfully do so via the instructions in older forum posts. Looking for any help I can get....

Hi @kcrum22
Greetings!!!
Thank you for reaching out to the RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issues you are experiencing with your RUCKUS setup.
Based on the information provided, it appears that you are encountering issues with the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch after a power outage.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are committed to assisting you promptly.
Could you please let me know if your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch has an Amber/Yellow LED as shown in the picture below? If yes, the Switch is stuck in the boot mode.
As you mentioned, the reset isn’t working, please try it multiple times as described in the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article.
If that doesn’t make any difference, Software Recovery is the last option. Refer to the below link guide for the same.
If you tried Software Recovery already, please let me know at what point you are stuck on, along with the Pictures of the Software Recovery cable connections between the Laptop and the Switch and screenshots (if any).
Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi

Thank you Imran. This set of instructions seems to be more of what I needed. I did not see this one previously.
I was able to get the switch working after about 50 reset attempts. Next time this happens, I will try to load in new software with the instructions above. If that does not work, I will repost to this thread. After loading new software, should I stop running into this issue after each power outage? Also, I downloaded the file mentioned in the thread, but there was no "Boot" folder/files for this switch available.
Thank You

Hi @kcrum22
Thank you for the response and the update.
This issue mainly happens due to an older version on your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch. Upgrading the Switch to a recommended version can avoid this issue in the future.
To check the same please hep me with the command outputs.
1. First, identify the current IP address assigned to the switch ICX-7150-C12P by your local router. You can use an IP scanner tool to easily locate the switch's IP address on your network. Here is a guide on how to perform this using IP Scanner free applications:
2. Once you have identified the IP address of the switch, proceed to access the Command Line Interface (CLI) of the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P switch. Here is a guide on how to access the CLI:
If you can access the Command line the prompt should look like below:
ICX7150-C12 Router> OR
ICX7150-C12 Switch>
3. After successfully accessing the CLI, please execute the following commands and provide the outputs:
enable
show version
show flash
Please share the command outputs or screenshots if you encounter any issues or errors during these steps.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or require further assistance.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
Best regards,
