Devices not connecting

Mariabbetter

A few days ago, our home devices including Ring and Alexa as well as other devices that were connected to our ruckus router seemingly disconnected. The Network is still showing available, but nothing will connect to it. I rebooted the router by unplugging it, and all the lights show green and flashing but nothing still will connect. Any suggestions?

I’m having the same issue. Did you ever get yours fixed?

Hi @Jrshaw2

Base in your description, it looks like your Switch (ICX7150 Switch) may be booting from the wrong partition, let me add the guide to fix the issue.

Note: if you have access to the Unleashed Dashboard and the Switch can be seen from there, it may look like the following Image, ICX7150-C12-Router instead of ICX7150-C12-Switch, and please read the guides carefully before start the troubleshooting.

I am trying this troubleshooting method but none of the username/password combinations work. I did do a hard reset on both APs (via the reset button on the back) so I'm unsure if that has an impact on admin credentials. How can I get admin access to continue this trouble-shooting as I think this could resolve my issue

Hi @Anonymous

OK, factory resetting the access point will not fix the problem of your ICX 7150 Switch not booting from the correct partition, now the last credential you can try the credential you use to access the Unleashed APP if you know it?, let me add the combination as well, Because sometimes it happens that when the Switch is booting from the wrong partition you can use the Unleashed system credential, now if both credential combinations still not working to get access to the switch you need to perform an extra step to bypass the switch password; however, you need to get access to the console and from CLI(command line interface).

1:Password combination:

Usernames:           Passwords:

Admin                    sp-admin

Super                     Lennar

                               lennar

                               ruckus

                               Ruckus!

                               Ruckus1

                               admin

                               password

Username:                      Passwords:

  admin                             sp-admin

                                          Lennar

                                          lennar

                                          ruckus

                                          Ruckus!

                                          Ruckus1

                                          admin

                                          password

2:If still not working, perform the password recovery via console access.

B:Once you gained access, follow up the password recovery step to gain access to the switch.

3:No you have fixed the password issue, from console access you can fix the original booting from wrong code issue, by running the next commands:

ICX7150-C12 Router>enable

ICX7150-C12 Router>show flash  (you can confirm in which partition you have the correct code that will start with SPS example: SPS08080f.bin normally will be your primary partition)

ICX7150-C12 Router#copy flash flash secondary  (this will copy what is in your primary code to the secondary)

ICX7150-C12 Router# write memory

ICX7150-C12 Router#show flash  (now both partitions must start with the SPS before the code type)

ICX7150-C12 Router#Boot system flash primary yes

ICX7150-C12 Router#reload
