“Configure me” network not showing up

Apehle22

Hello,

We just purchased a Lennar smart home built in 2018 with the Ruckus ICX7150-c12p. We have our modem/router all set up with working internet and made sure to plug in the Ruckus to the back of the router. Using the pinhole, I held the reset button for 20 seconds and i am not seeing the 'configure me' network broadcasting so I can set it up. I have two APs connected as well. I cannot access the app to set it up without finding the configure me wifi and it’s not popping up on a laptop or my phone.

The main hub has green lights on STAT, SYST and PWR (no amber lights anywhere) The AP on our ground/main level has green lights on PWR, CTL, and 2.4G (amber on 5G) and the AP on our highest/upstairs level has green lights on PWR and 2.4G (amber on 5G and no lights on CTL for this one).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As per the case description, I could understand that you need assistance in setting up RUCKUS devices.

Could you please let us know the answers to the below queries to assist you better?

1. Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same, showing the light status and the cable connections to the Switch ports.

2. Is your Internet Connection from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) stable and working? (You could check this by connecting to your local router Wi-Fi or from an ethernet cable from Router to a laptop/PC).

3. May I know how many Access Points are connected to the Switch?

Please help us with pictures of your ICX-7150-C12P Switch showing the status of the lights and cable connections to the Switch ports. Also, light the status of Access Points.

Here are the pictures.

Wifi is stable and we have been able to connect our devices and use the internet. We have 2 access points as stated in my first post! Hope this helps.

Hi @Apehle22

Thank you for the information and update.

All the connections on the Switch seem good.

Please follow the below process to factory reset your APs to configure them with a new SSID.

IMPORTANT NOTE: To perform a factory reset correctly on one of the access points, you must disconnect the rest of your other access points from the "ICX-7150-switch". For example, if you have 3 access points, you should go to the switch and disconnect 2 of the cables to turn off the "2 access points" and only leave 1 connected with which we are going to work the factory reset once you configure the access point and make sure all is good, go ahead and reconnect the other Access Points back.

In your case remove ONE of the 2 cables of Access Points and perform a factory reset on your connected Access Point. Once the factory reset is done, please plug the other one back.

I’m stuck again… the reset worked good and I finally got the configure me network to come up. I connected to it and now I am I getting this alert in my app:

The AP I am resetting also has the CTRL light flashing green. It’s been over 30 minutes with no changes. Ugh this is so frustrating not being able to have some live support and waiting for answers.
