No power on access points

19 REPLIES 19

No lights are on. I was able to get to one and plug in an external 12V power supply and it powered up and its working. They do not get POE.

The external power supply is a temporary solution for one so that I could have internet access, I can not access the other 2 and I need to remove the external power from the 3rd one.

Hi farazkarami

Thank you for the response and the information you shared.

As there are no lights on the Access Points and they are not getting PoE.

Since the switch is in the normal state you can take Console access to the switch in order to verify, if the switch is able to transfer the power to PoE devices via 12 ports.

Could you please take the console access to the Switch and share output of the below commands?

enable

Show version

Show inline power

Show inline power detail
