2.4GHz Beacon Frame / Country Info Element

Our beacon frames are transmitting with Country Code / Country Info Elements grouped like this:

Image_ images_messages_5f91c3fd135b77e24790bc24_17d8227b1be3ae4075ff054889b117c2_RackMultipart202001301155671ym-f8b366ed-b131-434b-bf38-b6b1a218b1de-1329983614.png1580428569

i.e. Three groups of a single channel only. Which is not compliant to the clarification provided on the 802.11d standard which says that the Country Info is to reflect the Region's regulations not the configuration of the wireless network. I guess this is created by a restriction in the channel assignment somewhere. So how to I get this to look more like this:

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Hi Darren,

This is bit weird because we should only see 1 entry for 2.4 G radio beacon, under country information.

I just did a OTA capture on 2.4 G radio and I only see 1 entry under Country Information.

Could you confirm what AP model and what firmware version is running on your setup? Is the AP managed by a controller or running in standalone mode?

Thanks Syamantak,

It looks like there is no distinction in Ruckus between the jurisdiction and the spectrum allocated and the channel plan desired by the administrator. If I set the channel plan (i.e. disable certain channels on the 2.4G spectrum) it updates this part of the beacon. It should not. The countries spectrum plan is independent of the channel plan set by the administrator. Is therefore should not alter the country jurisdiction channel information so I think this is a bug.
How specific mobile devices make use of this IE is a bit unclear too. Some devices have location assistance which can help.

You probably have all channels enabled in your configuration.
