Redirect to Another Page after Authenticate from 802.1x WLAN

Hello all,

Currently we have 1 SSID that using 802.1X EAP method for authentication and then after user successfully connect, user can open the application or browser that needed. But we have some discussion to having the new behavior. We need to make the user device will redirect to specific page (open the browser automatically, like Chrome or Edge and then automatically accessing page like www.google.com or another page) after the user successfully authenticate to connect to our 802.1X SSID.

Currently, we are using Virtual Smartzone Essentials 6.1.2. Is there any feature or setting that smartzone have for providing this needs? Thanks in advance.

Hi @a_ridwan9,

The description of your requirement is not entirely clear. However, I understand that you expect wireless users to be first redirected to an external webpage before undergoing RADIUS (dot1x) authentication to access network resources.

If this is the case, this can be achieved using the Hotspot configuration, where you can host an external Webpage where client will be initially redirected after connecting and then it can go for the radius authentication.
