we have a bigger setup with 436 Access Points. These are controlled with two SZ-124 in a cluster. It's running on version 5.2.2.0.317. The following Access Points are in use: R500, R510, R550, T300 and T750.
We would deploy the vSZ instances on 6.1.12, since 5.2.2 is End-of-maintenance. This is the first issue, because the R500 and T300 models aren't supported in 6.1.12 - only with 5.2.2 AP patch. Also, some zones are mixed with supported and unsupported AP's My idea is this:
- Deploy two vSZ-E in a cluster on version 6.1.12 and migrate the supported AP's zone by zone to the new controller.
- Then create zones with AP patch 5.2.2 to which the unsupported AP's are migrated.
- After they have received an hardware refresh, move the AP's to the original zones on the new controller.
Do you know if this will work or do you have any suggestions?
