What is special about Ruckus ICX 7150-C12P switch installed in Lennar Homes?

Hello. I am helping my friend with unstable WiFi connection (after hours long power outage). And, I would like to find out if Lennar Homes is using "special addition" of Ruckus equipment. Also, I want to be 100% sure that ICX 7150-C12P has 2.4Gb and 5Gb radios. Hardware installation guide doesn't mention about internal AP in switch. However, I saw few forum posts that say that radios are present in switch. So initial setup can be completed 'unleashed' app. Anyway, I will be connecting via COM and follow checks/procedures described in a couple of posts that were published in relation to unstable WiFi in Lennar houses.

Thanks

Hi @ Kevin4

Thank you for the details, however the way that you drive the Switch is not exactly how it does work, the 7150 is just a Switch, its job is to provide PoE (power over Ethernet) to devices that require power, also pass data traffic to the ISP router, now Access Points are just access points with many features however both depend on your ISP router, now the way you describe, it seems that after the power outages your Switch is booting from the wrong partition, causing connectivity problems, let me add the guide to fix the problem.

Note: if you have access to the Unleashed Dashboard and the Switch can be seen from there, it may look like the following image, ICX7150-C12-Router instead of ICX7150-C12-Switch, now before starting the steps of the guide, I will advise you to cable the computer directly to the Switch since you will have better connectivity than if you connect via wireless.

Yarenis,  Thank you.

I used mentioned post "How to Fix Routing code issues on Lennar Home users" - problem has been resolved. Connected to USB-C port on the switch - I preferred to use command line interface.

Hi @Kevin4

I am glad you have fixed the issue, and definitely is better the command line interface 😎
