Unable to access switch using telnet. Ping is working

$ telnet 192.168.1.2
Trying 192.168.1.2...

$ ping 192.168.1.2

After resetting ICX-7150-C12p switch, I am not able to access Switch homepage and also not able to telnet to the device.

Note:

1. I am able to ping the device

2. I connected my laptop to Switch using RJ-45 Serial port.

3. I was able to connect to Switch before resetting.

Hi Jayavidya,

current version on both primary and secondary is 08.0.95gT211 which is greater that 08090 which you mentioned.

Thanks for the details provided.

 

After the upgradation usually switch takes time to sync, so please wait for some time and let us know the status of the switch.

 

If it takes too long to sync please remove and add the switch from the unleashed dashboard.

I did wait for more than 12 hours after upgrade. As suggested I tried to remove the Switch and Add it back but I am now getting "MAC Address: 00:00:00:00:00:00" on unleashed dashboardScreen Shot 2023-03-14 at 14.33.20 PM.png

Thank you for the response and update. 

 

As your Switch is showing as pending/connecting it could be for multiple reasons, (Please refer to the below picture)

Please follow the below steps to get Switch in sync with Unleashed. We will delete the Switch from Unleased and Add it back.

Steps to synchronize the Switch (ICX-7150-C12P) to the unleashed Access Points:

 

Switch side:

Make sure the management approval is enabled.

Access Points (unleashed) :

On the Unleashed dashboard

1- Remove the existing Switch from the Unleashed (Please refer to the below picture):

2-Hit Add on that dashboard 

3-Put the IP address of the ICX switch (ICX-7150-C12P) and Password– If you don’t know the IP Address of the Switch. Please perform the below command from the Switch CLI to get the same.

Device>enable
Device#show ip address 


4-Username and password for Switch authentication are the same as what you use to log in for Switch on Web or CLI (Putty).

To sync the data, it will take us a while, so after a couple of minutes, it should say connected. 

Once the Switch gets synchronized, please check the dashboard again.
