Hi @Nhosei01

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the update.

Please note that the Serial Number should be all CAPS if there are any alphabets. Try using the last 9 characters of the AP’s serial number (S/N), typed in uppercase. If that doesn’t work, ensure you’ve held the reset button for at least 10 seconds until the power LED blinks, then try again.

When prompted for a password, enter the last 9 characters of the AP’s serial number in uppercase (e.g., if S/N ends with AB123456789, use 123456789).

If the password still fails:

  • Double-check that you’re using the serial number from the sticker on the AP, not the MAC address.
  • Make sure it is typed it in uppercase (case-sensitive).

Try resetting again to ensure the AP is truly back to factory defaults.

Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
Imran Sanadi

Two are installed. I disconnected one though, to make it the master AP. Then after a few reboots without success, I switched to the other AP to see if that would work. I also unplugged the LAN wire to the router and did reboots as well as attempted it plugged in.

Hi @Nhosei01

Thank you for the response and the update.

If you can see and connect to the Recover.me network, please follow and check the steps below.

Reset a RUCKUS Access Point Broadcasting Recover.me-XXXXXX
Step 1: Connect to the Recover.me Network

On your phone or laptop, connect to the Wi-Fi network:
Recover.me-XXXXXX

No password is required.

Step 2: Log in to the Recovery Page

Open a browser.

In the address bar, type:

http://192.168.0.1

A small recovery login page will appear.

Step 3: Log In

Use the default recovery credentials:

Username: super

Password: sp-admin

If this does not work, tell me the AP model (R510, R610, R720, R550, R650 etc.), and I will give you the correct login.

Step 4: Factory Reset from Recovery Mode

Once logged in:

Go to Maintenance → Return to Factory Default

Click Factory Reset

Wait 3–5 minutes until the AP reboots.

After Reset, What Happens?

The AP will start broadcasting Configure.me-XXXXXX

From there you can configure it normally through Unleashed setup page.

Please let me know how it goes.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Connecting to Recover.me is indeed asking for a password. You can’t move forward without it

Hi @Nhosei01

Thank you for your response and the update.

Please try using the Access Point’s Serial Number (SN), which is printed on the sticker on the back of the AP, as the password. Also try recoverme as the password.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
